This is What I do

My Goals

  • At the moment, my main focus is to complete my education at SJSU but I’m looking forward to learn from people and contribute to their projects through internships.
  • In 2 years, I hope to improve my technical skills to become a professional mobile apps developer.

Software Developers: Java, iOS, Web-Apps

As a CS major at San Jose State University, I had a chance to build a calendar program in Java with other two teammates. In order to complete this project, we implemented Object Oriented Design in great care . Taking advantage of many concepts of OOD have empowered me to be able to tackle any software projects in the future.
Besides my study in school, whenever time pops out from my stack, I take some online courses related to my major. For example, during the holiday season 2014 and summer 2013, I  took an exploratory journey in Development Apps for iOS 7, taught by Paul Hegarty from Stanford University.  The course taught me how to implement modern iOS 7 frameworks such as Apple’s new API to design and create interesting apps. Throughout the course, I was able to create a Card Matching Game and many others. This is the first step for me to learn more and develop more mobile applications in the coming years.

Video Editor: Final Cut Pro X, After Effects, Premiere Pro

I was lucky to work with ISF (international student fellowship) during my community college years to produce periodical videos. These videos promotes friendships and fellowship to all students around the world. My skills in video editing and communication was put into use by infusing ideas of youth and fellowship in each of our videos. Throughout 2 years, I received constant positive feedback that these videos helped and exciting to watch. I believe with these skills I am able to communicate effectively and promote our software projects to more people if I have the chance to do so.

Research Hobbyist: Economics and Political Science

By taking some courses in Economics and Political Science in college, I am confident in my ability to complete a research-based paper. According to the Wall Street Journal, more and more companies would have to rely on big data in the future to figure out their customer preferences. If they are successful in doing so, their competitive edge in fast-moving market would be unstoppable. That means data mining and research would be a central point in completing a product. I am confident that I can put my software skills and research skill into work anytime my project demands me.
